Miraah Solar Project
Dhofar, South Oman
A proud milestone for local manufacturing, Miraah is a key project for the National Aluminium Products Company (NAPCO), which supplied the precision-machined aluminium extrusions used to build the massive curved structures supporting the project's mirrors.
Miraah is a massive 1,021MW solar thermal facility in South Oman and one of the largest solar plants in the world. Officially inaugurated in February 2018, the plant generates high-pressure solar steam at the Amal oilfield for Thermal Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), boosting oil extraction productivity by up to 300% while saving vast amounts of natural gas.A proud milestone for local manufacturing.
